Primary Care Breakfast Session: The critical role of primary care in cancer control: A joint update from PC4 and Cancer Council South Australia
Please note: This event is open to GPs, Nurses and primary care teams only.Â
In partnership with South Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network (SACCaN) and Cancer Council South Australia, we are excited to be hosting a Primary Care Breakfast Session targeting the critical role of primary care in cancer control.
With primary care central to every cancer patient’s journey across the cancer continuum – prevention, screening, early detection and living with and beyond cancer – this session aims to equip general practitioners, nurses and primary care teams with up-to-date knowledge on four key areas:
- Optimising bowel cancer screening recommendations in general practice
- Understanding the eligibility criteria and referral pathways for the newly launched National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP)
- Engaging with cancer clinical trials through PC4
- Understanding how the Australian Cancer Plan positions primary care within the national cancer agenda.
Attendees will qualify for one hour of CPD (Educational Activity) from RACGP and/or ACRRM. Breakfast will be provided along with a $100 gift voucher as a reimbursement.
This Breakfast session will be held as part of the PC4 2026 Scientific Symposium. (You do not need to be attending the Symposium to attend the Breakfast Session).Â
