"PC4’s General Practice Advisory Group (GPAG) is a wonderful way to participate in cancer research that is relevant to primary care. GPAG provides an integration between research and primary clinical management which can ultimately lead to supporting and optimising patient care. It’s a great space for collaborating!"
Dr Elysia Thornton-Benko, GP
"GP and practice nurse input can improve the quality of studies and make the studies more likely to work in a real-life general practice clinic. The General Practice Advisory Group is a rewarding way to make a difference to cancer research and share your knowledge and experience."
Professor Jon Emery, Founder of PC4
Herman Professor of Primary Care Cancer Research at the University of Melbourne and NHMRC Practitioner Fellow.

Who we are
PC4 is the Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group funded by Cancer Australia to develop cancer research in primary care. We provide a framework to foster collaboration between health organisations, primary care researchers, GPs, health care professionals, policymakers and consumers. We cover all cancer types from melanoma to lung cancer.

Join the General Practice Advisory Group (formerly GP Circle)
We’re dedicated to ensuring our research has a strong clinical focus that generates outcomes which benefit cancer patients, GPs, practice managers and practice nurses. General Practice Advisory Group (GPAG) is a group of GPs, practice managers and practice nurses interested in providing clinical insight and experience to develop new research projects. GPAG members review research proposals and provide insight and experience that might improve the quality, scope, design, and feasibility of the research project.
