PC4 Training Award

Applications for the 2025/2026 PC4 Training Award are now closed.

About the award

The objective of the PC4 Training Award is to promote a greater understanding of the primary care needs of cancer patients and survivors, encourage research in this area and build capacity by encouraging clinicians, early and mid-career researchers to undertake research and skills development in cancer in primary care.

This year, the Award is aligned with PC4’s Cancer in general practice research priorities in Australia. Applications that address any of the top 15 priorities will be looked on favourably, however this is not a specific requirement of your application. In addition, proposals that specifically target our identified Priority Population Groups (older Australians, culturally or linguistically diverse groups, or patients living in rural and remote areas) will also be looked upon favourably.

Up to two Training Awards of $5000 will be granted in this round. Additionally, you will be invited to join a PC4 Engine Room for a period of twelve months, where you will be supported to further develop your research skills and connect with Australia’s leading cancer in primary care researchers. Novice clinicians or researchers in the early stages of their career are encouraged to apply.
