Study finds double mastectomy tied to more work absences

A new study published by the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center found that women who pursue a more aggressive surgery for early stage breast cancer have nearly eight times the odds of reporting considerable employment absences. The study surveyed 1,006 women who were employed at the time of their diagnosis for early stage breast cancer. Oncology News, 11/10/2017
