Cancer screening barriers and facilitators for under and never screened populations: A mixed methods study An important challenge in creating a successful cancer screening program is targeting under- and never-screened at risk populations to improve their uptake. This multi-phased mixed methods study specifically investigated the facilitators and barriers to breast, cervical and colon cancer screening. Under-screened populations had significantly higher odds of reporting no regular health provider, feeling uncomfortable talking about screening or screening not being suggested by their health provider.
