Breast implants recalled in Europe over cancer link still available to Australian women

One of the most popular breast implants used in Australia has been recalled in Europe. Doctors said in some patients with the textured implants, bacteria could enter the body and slowly cause scar tissue to harden around the implants. Over time, the infection could put stress on the patient’s lymphatic system and, in some cases, trigger the rare blood cancer. ABC News, 20/12/18
