The IBIS survivorship study: Implementation of a nurse-enabled, shared-care follow-up model for early breast cancer survivors
Overview: The current, traditional follow-up model for patients who have completed treatment for cancer requires that patients continue to attend specialist outpatient clinics, typically for 3-5 years or sometimes longer. This model is no longer sustainable. This study will assess the success of implementing the Survivorship Model of Care (IBIS-Survivorship) for people who have completed treatment for early breast cancer, and the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of IBIS-Survivorship compared to usual care.
