Whole milk consumption increases risk for prostate cancer progression
Drinking full-fat milk following a prostate cancer diagnosis may increase men’s risk of the disease recurring, particularly with overweight or obese men. Results published in The Prostate found that men who consumed more than four servings of whole milk per week had a 73% increased risk of reappearance compared as opposed to men who consumed less than three servings a month.
Researchers recommend that men with prostate cancer should select non-fat or low-fat options if they choose to consume milk.
