Some gut bacteria may increase bowel cancer risk, research suggests

New research presented at the National Cancer Research Institute conference in Glasgow suggests there may be a causal relationship between a specific type of gut bacteria and an increased risk of bowel cancer. People with more Bacteroidales bacteria may have up to 15% more risk of bowel cancer.
