Primary healthcare use during follow-up after curative treatment for colorectal cancer
A new study has investigated the use of primary healthcare in patients with colorectal cancer following curative treatment. Based on data from 165 patients, in the Netherlands, over six years the results highlight that despite having no formal role, GPs are already heavily involved in care for CRC survivors. Given this substantial role the authors believe that there is potential to incorporate formal services into the current model of GP care.
