Collaborative Research Travel Grant

About the Award

PC4, the Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group, is pleased to offer a new Collaborative Research Travel Grant. The Grant objectives are to promote new collaborations or the development of new collaborative cancer in primary care studies that will be supported by PC4 to build capacity in cancer research in primary care. One award valued at up to $2,000 is available. This award is offered to a clinician or researcher to support the travel costs associated with visiting a potential or existing collaborator within Australia. The visit is to be used to support the development of a trial protocol or funding application in any area related to the primary care and cancer discipline. All relevant applications will be accepted, but shortlisted priority areas include:
  • Interventions to reduce diagnostic delay
  • Development of clinical decision support tools to improve cancer diagnostic decision-making
  • Managing cancer survivors with comorbidities
  • Studies that improve the translation of evidence into routine clinical practice
  • Palliative care interventions that target early recognition of approaching end of life or that optimise palliative care provision by GPs
The successful applicant will be awarded up to $2,000. Mid-career researchers are strongly encouraged to apply. You must be a member of PC4 to apply:  it’s free to join – register at our website. The Collaborative Research Travel Grant 2019 is now closed.
