Exploring methods for communicating the harms and benefits of aspirin to reduce the risk of developing colorectal cancer
New guidelines to prevent the development of colorectal cancer include recommendations supporting the use of aspirin from the age of 50. Despite this, there are no guidelines for presenting the benefits and harms of taking aspirin to patients in the general practice setting. This study aimed to determine the most effective method for communicating the benefits and potential harms of taking aspirin to prevent colorectal cancer in people over 50 attending general practice.
