A cluster RCT of a personalised multi-condition risk assessment in primary care
A new patient health risk appraisal intervention that included assessing risk factors for breast cancer and colorectal cancer has been shown to improve patient-provider communication of changes to health and improve self-perceived risk factors for colorectal cancer. Involving over 3000 patients, in the UK, the trial integrated risk factor data from the health risk appraisal into each patient’s electronic health record. The trial results support the integration of health risk appraisals with electronic health records.
