C/Can 2025: City Cancer Challenge, a new initiative to improve cancer care in cities

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) has launched a new initiative, C/Can 2025: City Cancer Challenge.  This initiative, officially launched on the 17th January 2017, will drive the development of equitable access to quality cancer services by supporting cities to take the lead in the design, planning and implementation of cancer services. Importantly, this initiative will help provide opportunities to implement key World Health Assembly resolutions that important to cancer care. These improvements will centered around areas such as palliative and patient-centered primary care. It is hoped that C/Can 2025 will become a crucial platform for the translation of global cancer policy into national action on cancer control.
