Breast density key to reducing risk of disease

A new study funded by the National Breast Cancer Foundation at the University of Western Australia will investigate the breast density in young women in the hope of reducing cancer risk later in life. The study will determine if a new device called Transillumination Breast Spectroscopy (TiBS) is suitable as a method to test younger women for breast density. This technique could be used in younger women as having a mammogram is not recommended for women under the age of 40. ABC news, 07/08/2016
