PC4 Training Award

About the award

The objective of the award is to promote a greater understanding of the primary care needs of cancer patients and survivors, encourage research in this area and build capacity by encouraging early and mid-career researchers to undertake research in primary care in cancer. The applicant may use this funding to undertake a systematic review or support a pilot study. The award will be offered to a clinician or researcher who will undertake a research project in any area related to the primary care and cancer discipline. The successful recipient will submit an abstract to the 2020 PC4 Symposium to present their findings.

Award value: up to $5,000.
Award length: maximum 12 months.

How do I Apply?

Applications open Tuesday 14th May. Please complete the online application below by Sunday 30th June, and attach a maximum 2-page proposal (excluding references) as a word document and a 2 page CV.  You may submit an additional 1-page word document for figures and/or tables.

Project applications should be submitted as a word document, less than two pages and cover the following headings:

  • Background
  • Aims
  • Research methods
  • Project timeline
  • Project significance
  • Research dissemination
  • Budget
  • References

Selection criteria

The reviewing committee will focus on the relevance of your application to the Award objectives, the significance of your proposed research topic, scientific quality of the research design, how the funds will be used, plan to disseminate research findings and contribution to professional development.
